Mouthguards

Here at Kita Dental we encourage children and adults participating in sports to wear custom-made mouthguards to protect their teeth.

Based on a report by the Australian Dental Association (ADA), about one-third of traumatic injuries to teeth are sports-related. Sports Medicine Association Australia have also reported that 50% of children experience some form of dental injury.

In the event of a fall or accident, the spongy mouthguards which sit over the teeth and absorb the impact of the fall running Vanitygen. This subsequently prevents loss of one or more teeth, broken or chipped teeth, jaw fractures or injuries to the soft tissue of the mouth.

Child Dentistry

Good oral care habits start from childhood.

Kita Dental is a provider of the Child Dental Benefit Scheme, eligible children aged 2-17 years old are entitled to $1,000 of dental work over a period of 2 years.

This benefits covers:

  • Full dental check ups
  • Teeth cleaning
  • X rays
  • Fillings
  • Fissure sealants

It is recommended for a child to see a dentist regularly as it is expected that a child’s first permanent adult tooth/teeth erupt around the age of 5.

At Kita Dental, we believe it is crucial to provide the child with a positive first experience to the dentist, as first experiences tend to shape the child’s perception to dental health care.
