Porcelain Veneers — A Smile That Feels Like Yours

Custom-designed veneers crafted to enhance your natural smile

Veneers at Kita Dental

Porcelain veneers are one of the most requested cosmetic dental treatments in Sydney — and one of the most personal decisions you can make about your appearance.

At Kita Dental, every veneer treatment begins with a conversation — not a template. We take the time to understand your face, your features, and how you’d like to improve your smile.

Every detail of your veneer design is considered individually — shape, shade, proportion, and how your smile works within the context of your face as a whole.

The result we are working toward is not one that announces itself. It is one that looks and feels like you — considered, natural, and entirely your own.

Before any treatment begins, we plan your smile together. Using digital design previews and physical trial mock-ups, you will see and feel your proposed result before anything is finalised.

Nothing moves forward until you are comfortable and confident in what you are going to receive.

“A beautiful smile isn’t about perfection — it’s about creating something so natural, it feels like it was always yours.”

Are Porcelain Veneers Right for You?

Porcelain veneers may be considered for teeth that have:

  • Deep discolouration that has not responded to whitening
  • Chips, cracks, or visible signs of wear
  • Uneven edges, irregular shapes, or varying lengths
  • Small gaps or spacing that affects the overall balance of your smile

If you’re unsure whether veneers are the right option, your consultation is the right place to find out — with no obligation and no pressure.

What porcelain veneers can do

When planned carefully and placed precisely, porcelain veneers are designed to:

  • Look and feel like natural tooth enamel
  • Be fully customised in shape and shade to suit your specific facial features
  • Resist surface staining from everyday foods and drinks
  • Provide long-term wear with proper care and maintenance

Your Veneer Journey

Every smile is different — so every veneer journey at Kita Dental begins with listening. Here’s what you can expect from your first conversation to your final result.

Your journey starts with a conversation. We take the time to understand what’s been bothering you about your smile, what you’re hoping to achieve, and whether porcelain veneers are genuinely the right option for you. We’ll take digital scans, x-rays, and photographs — not to rush into treatment, but to give you an honest, informed picture of where you’re starting from and what’s possible.

If veneers are the right path forward, we use digital smile design technology to map out the ideal shape, proportions, and shade of your veneers — always guided by your facial features, your preferences, and our clinical judgement. You’ll be able to preview the proposed direction of your new smile before anything is touched.

This is one of our favourite parts of the process. Before any permanent work begins, you’ll try on your proposed smile design in the chair. We can make adjustments until everything looks and feels right. Temporary veneers are then placed for you to wear for approximately 2–3 weeks while your final porcelain veneers are handcrafted by our dental laboratory. Think of it as a real-life trial run — so you can eat, speak, and smile in your new teeth before committing to anything permanent.

When your final veneers arrive, you’ll try them on one more time to confirm the fit and appearance before anything is bonded. Only once you’re satisfied do we permanently place them — carefully and precisely, for a result designed to look natural and last.

Your journey doesn’t end at the final fitting. We’ll see you for a follow-up to check your bite, gum health, and overall comfort — and to walk you through how to care for your veneers so your smile stays looking its best long-term.

Mild sensitivity to hot and cold temperatures is completely normal in the first few days after treatment, and your bite may feel slightly different as you adjust to the new shape of your teeth. This settles for most within a short period of time. We’ll schedule a follow-up appointment to check your comfort, bite, and gum health — because your care doesn’t stop when the veneers go in.

Veneers are designed for long-term wear, but their lifespan varies from person to person. Good oral hygiene, regular check-ups, and being mindful of excessive biting forces all play a role in how well they hold up over time. Like anything in dentistry, repair or replacement may eventually be needed due to normal wear — and we’ll always give you an assessment of where things stand at your regular visits.

This depends entirely on your smile goals and which teeth are visible when you smile. Some people choose to place veneers on 4–6 front teeth; others opt for a broader smile makeover across +10 teeth. We’ll discuss what’s right for your face and your goals during your consultation.

Veneer investment varies depending on the number of teeth treated and the materials selected. During your complimentary consultation, we’ll provide a detailed quote personalised to your treatment plan. A price guide is also available here.

Not always — but it depends on your individual situation.

Porcelain veneers can address the appearance of mild crowding, small gaps, and uneven edges. Where there is moderate to severe misalignment, orthodontic treatment may be recommended first to support long-term stability and bite health. We’ll assess this during your consultation and recommend the most appropriate path forward for you specifically.

As with any dental treatment, there are risks to be aware of:

  • Some sensitivity to temperature is common in the days following treatment and typically resolves on its own
  • A brief adjustment period as your bite adapts to the new contours of your teeth
  • Gum sensitivity during the initial healing phase
  • Long-term veneer health is closely linked to oral hygiene — decay can develop around veneers if care is not maintained
  • In some circumstances, a veneer may loosen or detach following significant biting forces or trauma
  • As with natural teeth, normal wear over the years may eventually call for repair or replacement

Before treatment begins, we walk you through the risks, benefits, and alternatives in detail. An informed person always makes a better decision.
