Same-Day Emergency Dental Treatment

Most dental pain is time-sensitive. Whether it’s an infection, a broken tooth, or a loose restoration — the longer you wait, the more complex the treatment often becomes.

Toothache

Severe or persistent tooth pain can signal infection, a cracked tooth, or an exposed nerve. We diagnose and relieve pain the same day.

Dental abscess

Facial swelling and throbbing pain can indicate a serious infection. This requires urgent treatment — do not delay.

Broken or chipped tooth

A broken tooth can have sharp edges and expose sensitive layers. We assess the damage and restore and protect the tooth on the day.

Loose filling or crown

A dislodged crown or filling exposes the tooth to sensitivity and further damage. We re-cement or assess for replacement same day where possible.

Gum pain or bleeding

Unexplained gum swelling, spontaneous bleeding, or a painful lump needs clinical assessment to rule out infection or underlying disease.

Wisdom teeth pain

Partially erupted or impacted wisdom teeth cause acute pain, swelling, and infection. We assess and advise on extraction or management urgently.

Emergency Dental treatment Price Guide

All treatment costs are discussed with you before we proceed. A consultation is typically required before treatment unless you’ve already been assessed with us and have a treatment plan.

Consultation

Includes clinical examination, CBCT 3D scans and/or intraoral x-ray scans and clinical photographs. We don’t proceed with treatment until we understand the full picture and you understand the full cost.

Paying for your treatment

Health Fund Rebates and Payment Options for Emergency Dental

Private health insurance

We accept most major private health funds and process your claim on the spot via HICAPS. Your fund provides a rebate depending on your level of cover – there may be a gap payment. We do not bulk-bill.

Rebate amounts vary by fund and policy. We provide item numbers after assessment and can assist in checking your cover before committing to treatment.

Payment Plans

For larger emergency treatments — root canals, crowns, or extractions requiring multiple visits — we offer payment plans through Afterpay, Zip, and Humm. This allows you to spread the cost over time without delaying treatment that is clinically necessary.

Payment plans can be used alongside health fund rebates. Eligibility is assessed through the provider. Our team will walk you through options after your assessment.

Afterpay and Zip are available. Ask our team at your appointment.
