All On 4 Dental implant treatment is not a one-size-fits-all procedure — and the cost reflects that.
Every case involves a different level of complexity, planning, and clinical decision-making. The materials used, the technology involved, and the experience of the treating dentist all play a role in determining what appropriate, well-executed treatment looks like for your specific situation.
It is worth understanding that implant dentistry is not a recognised specialty in Australia — meaning the training and experience of implant providers can vary significantly. Dentists who have pursued advanced postgraduate education in implant dentistry bring a deeper level of clinical knowledge to treatment planning, surgical execution, and long-term risk assessment.

Why we include sedation for All On 4 Dental Implants
All On 4 implant surgery is a significant procedure. Many people — particularly those who have avoided dentistry for years — carry anxiety about visiting the dentist. IV sedation means you are deeply relaxed and comfortable throughout the treatment.
Most clinics advertise an attractive headline price and add sedation costs of $3,000 to $5,000 after your consultation. We don’t believe in that approach. At Kita Dental, sedation is included in every package.
Your anaesthetist’s only responsibility is you.
IV sedation is administered by an independent, ICU-trained anaesthetist — a medical doctor with critical care training whose sole role during your procedure is your safety. Medicare rebates apply where eligible, reducing your out-of-pocket contribution to approximately $4,000. Your exact gap is confirmed before you commit to treatment. As an independent clinician, your anaesthetist has the authority to pause or stop the procedure at any point if they determine it is not safe to continue. This authority exists entirely in your interest.

A try-on is your opportunity to see, feel and approve your new teeth before the final restoration is made. It is not a formality — it is a genuine checkpoint where adjustments can be made.

Early release of superannuation
You may be eligible to apply for early release of your superannuation to fund dental treatment that is considered medically necessary — including dental implants.
Approval is subject to ATO guidelines and requires supporting clinical documentation. The amount accessible depends on your individual eligibility and available super balance.
External providers such as Access My Super can assist with preparing documentation and managing the application process on your behalf.

Medicare
Medicare does not cover the cost of dental implant treatment. However, where a specialist anaesthetist is involved, a portion of their fee may be eligible for a Medicare rebate as it is billed separately.
Your anaesthetist will walk you through this in detail prior to treatment.
Private health insurance
If you hold private health insurance, you may be eligible to claim benefits on certain items of your treatment depending on your level of cover. Dental implants are generally classified as major dental, which means waiting periods, annual limits, and varying rebate percentages may apply.
Policies can differ considerably between funds, we recommend contacting your health fund directly and providing them with your treatment plan for an accurate estimate of what you may be able to claim.
